After getting admission in university, I met sir Idrees Azad in second semester of my b.s degree in physics.He was professor of my subject named as " introduction to
logic and philosphy". what a great man he is.. our whole class was very excited after getting first lecture from him. He introduced us with a new world in which he taught us how a man should think and in how many different angles we can analyze single thing.He had all those tools of teaching which increased our interest in physics and after that we started studying more passionately. He acquainted us with a new way of getting knowledge or I should say he gave direction to our thinking. As you
all know , normly people label philosophy as tough and dry subject but my class started loving philosophy, students's attendence and class participation was excellent.
During 3hrs lecture we never asked for break to rest because we never got tired of lecture infact we always waited for his next lectures. Of course all this was because of his great personality and character that we got inspire by him.
I was personally very delighted because I never came across with any teacher like him .sir idrees's behaviour was like father with us he used to call us 'beti' I found him a very polite and true teacher who doesnt get angry if students ask questions and its because of his excellent command on philosophy so I started raising questions during his lecture. Due to his admirable teaching skills , philosophy and logic started coming to me as if I had always been waiting to study this subject .Sir told
us that he is very active on social media , I searched his facebook ID and started reading his articles on philosophy and physics as he is a very good scholar, writer
and poet. I remember, when first time I sent message to him on fb and asked "sir, plz can you tell me the name of iqbal's poem which you mentioned during lecture?" he
not only replied me with name of poem but also sent the whole poem. This made me very happy that my teacher responded me so nicely. I was so much in need of
teachers's affection , appreciation , attention and kind heartedness that when i got all this from sir idrees i started giving my best in studies.It was my project to
do research on Bertrad Russell , like my other class fellows i also gave my 100% into it. when sir marked our assignments he applauded me alot that you did excellent work.This was the very first time that i got so much acknowledgement from any of my teachers, it was like dream to me so first i was shocked but after that my selfconfidence and selfesteem raised alot , i started doing things which i never thought of like getting 3.8 gpa :p now again all credit goes to my sir who had become
a permament source of appreciation and motivation for me. I found him a man overflowing with knowledge so i decided to get it from him as much as I could.
I was considered as weak student in school days and in college i was an average student .I never got inspire by any of my teachers infact i hated some of them because at that time I was one of victims of teachers's mental torture . Sir Idrees made me strong enough to say no to torture , now I am a completely changed person
which i used to be two years ago .
Now i am going to enter in 7th semester but sir idrees's shadow of affection and constant admiration is still with me which work as fuel for me. May ALllah give him long and healthy life full of happiness,so that he can keep his journey of awakening the inner,hidden wisdom and intellect of students like me.
Thank you sir Idrees for helping me in becoming what I am today.
